The Awareness Centre provides counselling and psychotherapy in seventeen languages. Multilingual counselling services are currently available in the following languages: Arabic, Bulgarian, Czech, English, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, Swahili and Turkish.
It can be very difficult trying to express your true feelings; by offering services in your own language, we’ll help you get the right support. Our multilingual therapists are able to offer support for a wide range of issues including; depression, addictions, sexuality and suicidal thoughts to name only a few. You will be able to express your feelings in a private and safe environment. By reaching out and receiving professional help, you will feel a huge sense of relief, as you have made the first step.
By finding the right support you’ll learn new ways of coping and expressing yourself. Our therapists appreciate and respect people of any gender, age, ethnicity, race, sexuality, culture, physical ability or spirituality.
Based on your preference and income status, our therapists are able to provide NHS, Low Cost and Private Therapy. Are you registered with a GP surgery in Lambeth? We provide clients/patients within this London borough with short term NHS counselling in partnership with the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation (SLaM). Firstly, you will need to contact your GP and be referred. This service is free, we are able to provide between 6-12 sessions.
If you are on a low income, or you are receiving benefits for working tax credits, registered disability, pensioners or being a student and you can provide proof we provide a Low Cost Counselling Service (LCCS) for a small fee of between £15-£45. We are also able to provide a range of private therapies for a fee of £50-£185.
