The postholder will work closely with the NHS Senior Clinical Team to support student counsellors from The Awareness Centre Training School in joining the NHS placement. They will play a key role in ensuring that applications are completed accurately and that all required documentation is uploaded and maintained in line with organisational standards. In addition, the postholder will be responsible for auditing the NHS placements, ensuring compliance, quality, and consistency across all processes. This role is central to supporting the smooth running of the placement programme and upholding the high standards of service delivery at The Awareness Centre.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Accountable for processing the recruitment of NHS placement therapists, working alongside the NHS Senior Clinical Team.
- Accountable for processing of NHS placement therapists training & placement schedule.
- Accountable for processing therapists’ annual leave alongside the NHS Senior Counselling Coordinator.
- Maintaining communication across NHS clinical teams of any placement starters, leavers or changes.
- Accountable for working with the NHS Senior Counselling Coordinators on the internal trading process between NHS and low-cost placements.
- Work alongside the NHS Senior Counselling Coordinator to audit all NHS therapists’ data on a monthly basis, and annual renewals as necessary.
- Work with the NHS Senior Counselling Coordinator to complete NHS therapist reports in a timely and professional manner.
- Accountable for maintaining the intranet and ensuring therapists’ profiles on the website are accurate and up to date, working in collaboration with the clinical team.
- Accountable for working with the clinical team to keep policies, procedures, and handbooks current and relevant.
- Be an active member of a dynamic and ambitious clinical team, contributing to the development and delivery of smooth, high-quality clinical services.
- Accountable for working alongside the NHS Senior Counselling Coordinator to oversee evaluations and testimonials for services, supporting both TAC clinical services and TAC marketing.
- Accountable for working with the NHS Senior Counselling Coordinator on placement reviews and upgrades.
- Provide office support including managing enquiries, and general administration.
- Accountable for keeping mail chimp listing of placement therapists up to date
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
- Qualified and working towards accreditation with UKCP, BACP, or NCPS, or a nearly/newly qualified therapist or counsellor.
- Previous experience as a Coordinator with a high level of administrative efficiency.
- Passionate, driven, ambitious, and an effective team player within a clinical setting.
- Ability to work under pressure with strong time-management skills.
- Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.
- Demonstrates professionalism and a collaborative approach to working.
- Ability to work effectively with colleagues across different disciplines.
- High proficiency in Excel, Word, email, and databases, including CRM systems and Microsoft 365 (essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
