Is the Introduction to Counselling right for me?
The 20-hour course is designed for anyone who is considering taking the first step in training towards working in the helping professions.
It will help you improve your communication skills, develop your self-awareness and improve your interactions with others.
You will understand and develop a variety of essential counselling skills including: active listening, summarising, and nonverbal communication.
Course Details
The Introduction to Counselling runs online, over 4 Saturdays. The course comprises 20 total guided learning hours (tutor time), with each day running from 10:00-16:00.
The course fee is normally £275 but is currently £250 as we are running an Early Bird booking offer (runs until end of April 2021).

At the end of this course you will:
• Understand more about the counselling profession

• Have the awareness you need to plan the next step of your training or professional growth
Successful completion of the course will grant you a certificate, which will include the number of hours studied. This module is non-accredited and carries no credit points.

As well as being informative, the course uses exercises, case examples and discussion groups to real provide a thorough experience of this profession.

DAY 4: BOUNDARIES, ETHICS AND COUNSELLING MODALITIES
The Foundation Certificate in Counselling is delivered by experienced counselling professionals.
If you wish to continue your counselling training, successful completion of the course will also make you eligible for our Foundation Certificate in Counselling which is a one-year, part-time course.
You do not need any previous experience or qualifications to enrol on this course. We just ask that you have a good command of spoken and written English and a reliable internet connection.
