Aakansha Sharma is understanding, patient, empathetic, friendly and she has good listeningskills. During counselling sessions, she understands her clients’ thoughts and emotions, as well as ongoing issues that they may be having. She helps them by facilitating them to identify their strengths and goals which is a solution-focused approach. She also uses a person-centered approach which would allow the client to value themselves. Through CBT, she helps clients to identify negative thoughts and emotions and helps them to replace them with more positive thoughts and emotions.
Aakansha has a background working as a counsellor in Singapore. She specialises in anger management, addiction, guilt and shame, as well as stress. She helps the clients to identify their triggers and works with them to identify positive coping strategies to stay away from situations which trigger them. She has also worked with children and adolescents with learning difficulties in reading and comprehension. She worked on their sensory-cognitive functions with the usage of sensory language and cues.
