Adeleka Linton is an Integrative Counsellor with a natural authentic style when working with her clients. She offers a safe and trusting environment to support individuals, to talk about any thoughts, feelings or concerns that may be challenging to work through. Adeleka provides a person-to-person approach to the therapeutic relationship. She uses her Psychodynamic and CBT experience to assist in understanding the potential deeper meaning of situations or blockages that may prove difficult in an individual’s ability to move forward.

Adeleka has a wide range of experience working with vulnerable children, young people and their families impacted by adverse childhood and traumatic experiences; building an understanding of working with those directly impacted by mental and emotional health, learning difficulties and disabilities, addictions and bereavement. Adeleka focuses on offering client’s a chance to be open, self-governed and free to explore inner and personal experiences in an empathetic and non-judgemental space.

Adeleka is aware of the difficulties in day to day life and has particular interest in systemic barriers that can impact on individuals; from inter-generational and trans-generational trauma that could feel as if there are no answers, to internal oppressions influenced by factors such as guilt and shame. She offers a holistic approach in working with an individual’s presenting needs  to support the client to gain awareness, enhance self-esteem and seek appropriate solutions where possible.

Adeleka is in her final year in gaining her Diploma in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling and a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), she sees clients for The Awareness Centre’s NHS Wandsworth counselling service.
