Adetutu Olanrewaju draws on a wide range of approaches such as Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, Cognitive Behavioural, Gestalt, and Solution Focus Brief therapy.
This means that she is able to support clients in getting the best fit in relation to the specific issues they may be bringing. She can relate to people of all walks of life on personal, educational, developmental issues, or matters related to relationships, abuse, trauma and conflict. This is based on her varied work experience, as a social worker, housing caseworker, and nursery school office manager.
Though a human resources management professional, about fifteen years ago she decided to make a change in support of her work-life balance and went to work in a nursery school office as a manager. In this job she worked with everyone, from the children to their parents and/or carers, employees, work agencies, and multi agencies in relation to safeguarding and protection. Based on these experiences she developed a special interest in abuse, anger, relationships and trauma.
Adetutu is an integrative trainee counsellor and a member of the BACP. She works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service and sees clients in a GP surgery in Lambeth. Adetutu is currently working towards a postgraduate diploma in Integrative Counselling and Coaching.
