Angie Martinez

Angie believes it is important to stay attuned to her client’s needs, feelings and process to maintain a collaborative alliance because it allows the client to lead the progression and provides a space to heal from some experiences where others were not attuned to the client which may have led to hurt. Her current formation lies in the Integrative approach within the REMA framework. As an Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist, she draws from various modalities such as Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt and CBT. Under the REMA Framework model, Angie explores the relational aspect of the client’s human experience, the embodiment of emotional experiences, the meaning of life experiences, and the focus on agency, empowering clients to make choices over their own lives and own their stories.

Her prior career in Central London, has allowed her to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. This exposure means she could enter people’s stories, providing support in various life situations, learn the value of being present and incorporates this ethos into her current role as a therapist. Her background in Luxury Sales in Central London provided her with a keen eye for detail, which she skilfully transfers to her work with clients, noticing subtle changes and fostering a collaborative therapeutic relationship. She can work with individuals struggling with a broad spectrum of issues such as anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, depression and seasons of change.

Angie is an integrative counsellor, she is actively pursuing a degree in Counselling and is a member of the British Association of Counsellor and Psychotherapists, ensuring she stays updated on the latest research and advancements in the field to provide the highest standard of care for her clients. When the goals of therapy are established, she will tailor her approach to suit and support her clients. It is her hope to work with you, to journey with you in your exploration of self and navigate life’s changes together.
