Annalisa is an integrative trainee counsellor, which means she blends psychodynamic and person-centred approaches. Annalisa likes to treat all her clients as unique, and she adapts to their needs. Annalisa offers a safe and non-judgmental space to talk, where she provides empathy to her clients, exploring thoughts and feelings in a warm environment. She believes that diversity is a common ground in therapy, she enjoys working with people from all walks of life, embracing differences such as race, religion, age, gender, sexuality, and socio-economic background.
Annalisa has experience of facilitating support groups and has volunteered at Springfield hospital as an individual with experience working with young people awaiting treatment. She also works as a Crisis Volunteer with Shout. She has been able to help clients who feel suicidal, depressed and anxious. Annalisa works with a variety of age groups including teenagers and adults. In her work with Shout, she has been offering emotional support to Frontline workers who have been experiencing distress during the Covid pandemic.
Annalisa is studying towards a Therapeutic Counselling Diploma and can offer therapy in English and Italian. She is registered as a student member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Wandsworth Service.
