Anne-Marie Cristea believes that regardless of the gender, physical strength or any other characteristic, at some point everyone can be affected by life events or circumstances that are out of control. Providing a safe and supportive space where clients are welcomed to express their thoughts and feelings, Anne-Marie is empathic, supportive and encouraging. Working from an integrative approach, she is tailoring each therapy to fit the client’s needs, whether is helping them establish goals and work towards achieving them, supporting them in developing their own potential and overcoming difficult events, or addressing a specific issue brought to therapy. With an open mind and embracing all cultures and beliefs, Anne-Marie is fluent in 3 languages (English, Romanian, Spanish), and has various levels of proficiency for another five (Italian, German, French, Portuguese, Chinese).
With a background in Management and more recently in Social Care, Anne-Marie understands the workplace pressure and work-related issues, and also how deeply people of all ages, gender or social circumstances can be affected by life events. Helping her clients to find healthy ways to cope with their emotions and feelings, Anne-Marie can help with managing anxiety, depression, bereavement and loss, and family issues. She is also able to help with Relationship issues and Pregnancy and Childbirth.
Anne-Marie is an integrative counsellor in training, registered with BACP, working towards accreditation as Counsellor and also towards her Bachelor Degree in Psychology with Counselling. She works with The Awareness Centre NHS patients in Sutton. She also underwent training in Bereavement and Loss.
