Antony provides a welcoming, safe space, where clients can feel comfortable exploring their concerns in an empathic and supportive way. He believes that developing a strong relationship with clients enables them to unlock their thoughts and feelings, and in being heard, can accept their feelings.
He hopes by understanding their past, his clients will learn to trust their own voice and will walk together on their journey wherever it may go. Antony will support clients to develop their self-awareness, solve challenges and help them to develop their inner resources, strength and self-compassion. Antony uses an integrative approach, drawing on different philosophies and techniques depending on each client’s individual needs and preferred ways of working. He has worked many years in the public sector providing support and expertise by working for the local community in which he grew up.
Antony is a trainee counsellor working towards a CPCAB Level4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling that integrates the person-centred and psychodynamic approach. He is a student member of the BACP and works with The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service in Clapham.
