Aurora Sang provides a safe space where clients can feel safe to share, explore and process their concerns without fear of being judged. In an age when many rarely have time to stop and ground themselves, counselling provides a warm, confidential space in which to build a relationship of trust and openness. She helps clients to look at aspects of their past and/or present experiences, to enable them to develop self-awareness that helps to make sense of what is happening in their life. Aurora is an integrative counsellor which means that her training included a number of different therapeutic approaches (e.g. person centred, psychodynamic and Gestalt). When working with clients she will draw upon the most appropriate counselling and psychotherapy approaches to suit individual needs.
Aurora has an Italian background and she has lived in several different countries. With experience as a Customer Sales assistant abroad and here in England, Aurora has developed strong interpersonal and communication skills, which helped her to communicate efficiently with people of different backgrounds and nationalities and listen to their needs and demands. She understands that people sometimes can be challenged by internal and external situations which may feel overwhelming. She works to identify a healthier way of managing difficult emotions and stress.
Aurora is a trainee counsellor and registered as a student member of the BACP. She is currently on placement with The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service seeing patients at a GP surgery in Lambeth. Aurora is currently working towards an advanced diploma in integrative counselling.
