Becky Crepsley-Fox is a contemporary psychotherapist who integrates NLP and hypo-psychotherapy creating a solution focus model which combines and utilises the commonalities of the main contrasting and effective models of psychotherapy. If appropriate, Becky also threads in elements of mindfulness such as meditations and breathing into sessions. She works with the whole timeline of the client. The past – their life before stepping into the therapy room; the present – practical ways to work on what the client would like to achieve and the future; – hopes, dreams and plans. The focus being on causation as well as short- and long-term wellbeing. Contemporary psychotherapy is fluid and changes with the times, as and when there is new research and achievements in the field. Becky believes that clients have the resources within themselves which they need to bring the change they are striving for and uses a different array of exercises to explore this with the client.
Having been a yoga teacher for 6 years, Becky has taught many people physical poses as well as meditation and breathing techniques. From this experience she recognizes the benefits that can be gained from simply ‘slowing down’ and taking a breath. Her holistic experience has highlighted that a one size fits all approach does not work when it comes to the mind and as such, Becky has a fluid approach that changes with each individual client. She is a tantra practitioner who leads intimacy workshops between couples giving them the tools they need to strengthen their connection and also runs solo tantra workshops giving the space to individuals to communicate with themselves on a deeper level.
Becky is a contemporary psychotherapist and a sexologist. She has a trainee/student accreditation by UKCP for psychotherapy and COSRT for psychosexual therapy. She is working towards full accreditation in both. She works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS service in Wandsworth.
