Carole Brooks is a compassionate, non-judgemental and empathic counsellor who provides a safe and warm environment for her clients to feel heard, supported and safe with a sense of being held and contained. This affords a secure place for her clients to explore whatever is troubling them and helps them engage with her to create a warm therapeutic relationship which allows her clients to work at their own pace as she challenges their thoughts, behaviours and core beliefs they hold about themselves.
Carole is committed to her clients and her intuitive and creative approach helps her clients understand their own behaviour, how they relate to others and to have a deeper understanding of themselves. Carole has a Humanistic integrative approach drawing on several modalities depending on her client’s needs, she feels therapy is a passage of elation, self-knowledge and discovery, frequently taxing but constantly rewarding.
Carole supports clients in long term or open ended therapy with a six week review to make sure both Carole and her client is on track for the clients goal of therapy.
With a background of international exports and a period in the entertainment industry Carole has an interest and experience in working with stress, anxiety, anger and self-belief. She understands the problems people go through in the workplace and the importance of communication.
Carole is a Humanistic integrative counsellor working in private practice in Carshalton. She has an Advanced diploma in integrative counselling and is a fully registered member of the BACP and is currently working towards BACP accreditation. Her other qualifications are an Open Degree in Psychology and the social Sciences, Certificate in CBT and a Certificate in Bereavement and Loss.
