Charlene Ngo’s counselling modality is Person-Centred. This type of therapy is client-led with a humanistic approach. Charlene provides a safe, warm and non-judgmental space for clients to be heard. She offers support, empathy and a positive attitude to their clients, who develop practices on making their own decisions and approach life difficulties in their own way. She admires the client’s courage for taking the initial steps towards therapy as she understands how disconcerting it can be. Charlene respects that every individual has their own unique story from their own experiences. With the client viewed in a positive regard, she can care and strive to help them make the changes they desire. Charlene hopes to help the client reconnect with their inner values and sense of self-worth, thereupon enabling them to find their own way to move forward and progress.
Charlene has a background in sales and compliance and has worked at the heart of London. Working under high pressure has helped Charlene understand the emotional impact and stress it can cause on both work and personal life. She understands that living a busy lifestyle can lead to very little time to focus on our own well-being. Charlene has an interest in the individual’s potential for embracing their own emotions and vulnerability. Over time, she has grasped the importance of exploring feelings at a deeper level to delve into the underlying emotions.
Charlene is a trainee counsellor and is working towards a CPCAB certified Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. She is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Charlene works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Counselling Service in Lambeth.
