Chloe Yu
Chloe is a warm therapist, who has a keen interest in psychology and human behaviour. Her approach is deeply rooted in humanistic values, whilst integrating a number of third wave CBT approaches and techniques such as ACT and DBT. This eclectic approach reflects a compassionate appreciation of the complexity of human life and suffering while also recognising our own innate ability to change and move forward despite life’s myriad challenges. Chloe sees her role as a therapist as being a compassionate and supportive guide/companion to the client; with total willingness and courage to walk along with the client to navigate and experience both the joys and challenges of what life has to offer. Chloe believes an open, honest and engaged dialogue will always bring insights and relief to the presenting problems.
Prior to switching her career to psychology and counselling, Chloe spent a decade working in the compliance function in the financial services industry, therefore familiar with the pressure and conflicts often presented in such competitive work environment and have great awareness of work-related mental health issues such as workplace stress, anxiety and burn out.
Chloe is a trainee counsellor and member of the UKCP. She is working towards a DC Psych Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy and is seeing clients within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Service in Lambeth.
