Chris provides an empathic, supportive space, valuing an equal and collaborative approach to sessions. He understands every individual is different and takes an integrative approach to counselling. He works with elements of Person-Centred and Psychodynamic counselling, supporting clients in deepening their understanding of present experiences, whilst also seeing the value can be had from exploration of past relationships, shedding light on potentially unhelpful behaviours the experienced in the present.
Through his varied professional background, Chris has maintained an interest in the connections between work, identity, self-esteem, and relationships. Beginning his career in advertising he became interested in ways people feel stress and pressure from institutions, peers, and themselves. Chris later moved into the special education sector, encountering how issues of anxiety and self-esteem sit within the experience of social difference and diversity.
Chris is a trainee integrative counsellor and a registered student member with the BACP. He works with in the Awareness Centre’s NHS Counselling service in Wandsworth.
