Claire Bolt provides a welcoming space, where clients can feel comfortable exploring their unique concerns. She believes that developing a strong relationship with clients is the foundation for supporting them to delve into their thoughts and feelings. Claire ensures clients feel both seen and heard, and works with the client to support them to develop their self-awareness, find peace within themselves, recognise their own concerns, and solve challenges creatively. Whether it is about reducing anxiety, coping with depression, dealing with loss or uncertainty, or simply gaining a better understanding of how client’s deal with challenges, Claire will work with each client to find their own answers and their own path.
Claire uses an integrative approach, drawing on different philosophies and techniques depending on each client’s individual needs and preferred ways of working. She has experience in differing work places such as media, government and international development, as well as being an at-home parent. She understands the pressures of balancing personal, work and familial needs, and the particular challenges of incorporating self-care. Claire also has an interest in the impact of work-place burnout as well as living with chronic illnesses.
Claire is currently working towards an MA in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is registered with the BACP and works within The Awareness Centre’s Low Cost Counselling Service in Tooting.
