Crena Watson provides a space for clients to feel supported, understood and able to share the difficulties they are experiencing. Crena’s training is in Transactional Analysis, which helps people to identify very easily the childhood messages and patterns that may be holding back their potential or their ability to be themselves in relationships. She is interested in helping people understand why they often repeat the same pattern over and over again, resulting in the same negative outcome.
Crena is interested in the creative mind, as well as in people who may have dyslexia and all the subtle problems this can present in life. She is warm, creative intuitive and empathic which helps clients to feel relaxed and safe in the therapy room.
Crena started her therapy training later in life than some people but it means she has a rich wealth of life experience to bring to her work. She worked for many years in the creative industry running her own business and has met people from all walks of life and broken bread with diverse cultures in her travels round the world. Her approach to therapy is to build the relationship first and foremost and make a contract with the client about what they would like to work on. She is skilled at working with relationship issues, bereavement, trauma, guilt and shame.
Crena is a trainee psychotherapist on an Advanced Diploma in Transactional Analysis, which leads to an MSc in psychotherapy and professional accreditation with UKCP. She works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service at a GP surgery in Wandsworth.
