Daniel D’Innella is an integrative therapist who together with his clients creates a therapeutic space to explore thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. Having the opportunity to be ourselves without this fear, opening up to total honesty and being truly heard can break down barriers in order to connect and help with understanding what lies at the heart of problems that may be occurring for the client. Working towards self-awareness is at the heart of this therapeutic process, building awareness and pairing that with focus is key. Daniel draws on different therapeutic models to provide a flexible approach to meet the needs of each unique client.
Coming from a career in documentary television and the media, Daniel was inspired to change careers to use his love of connecting with people to greater benefit. Growing up in many different countries and travelling widely he has a good understanding of different cultural backgrounds and has an array of work and life experience, from being an early years practitioner to working as an outreach support worker with adults with learning difficulties and volunteering at festivals with a welfare and harm prevention charity. He also has experience counselling men who have problems with anger and violence.
Daniel is working towards an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and is a member of the BACP. He works with clients in a medical centre in Lambeth for The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service.
