Dawn Irons provides a non-judgemental, supportive and safe space to work together with clients. She believes in the power of the relationship in the healing process of therapy. She works to help her clients explore and process difficult feelings and experiences, develop a stronger sense of self, look at their hopes and aspirations for therapy, as well as discuss ways for the client to take positive steps forward. Dawn believes everyone and their needs are unique and any therapeutic approach should be centred around them. She is training in integrative psychotherapy, which means not working with one specific way (or model) only, but rather drawing on a wide range of sources and working with what is right for the client. This integrative approach puts the client at the centre and enables them to decide what might help them in processing their emotions.
With a background in marketing and corporate communications in both the public and private sector, Dawn has always had people at the heart of her work. She understands the pressures of the workplace and day-to-day life where people juggle busy jobs, families and friends. She also has previous experience volunteering for the Samaritans. Dawn is a fitness advocate and believes strongly in a healthy body to support and encourage good mental health and wellbeing.
Dawn is a trainee psychotherapist, currently working towards her Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy. She is registered with the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and works as part of The Awareness Centre’s team supporting clients in NHS Wandsworth.
