Dominique Frater provides open and honest space that allows clients to show up as they are, she believes in supporting her clients on their journey and empowering them so they feel confident when they leave the counselling room. Dominique places an importance on a non-judgemental, authentic counselling environment as she feels this is fundamental to the work that will take place in the room and is part of the foundation of counselling. Dominique has a integrative approach, which means she is able to work with a variety of tools but using what is best suited to the needs of each individual client.
Dominique has a previous background in retail management, the role she took on fuelled her love for working with people and she found herself using counselling skills within the work place. Dominique likes to work with clients to give them the methods they need to cope outside the counselling room, with the hope that they feel they have the power to manage situations that may arise for them day to day. Dominique also specialises in anxiety, depression and issues around self esteem, for her it is about empowering her clients.
Dominique is an integrative counsellor and is registered with the BACP. She works with The Awareness Centre seeing NHS patients for counselling at a GP surgery in Battersea. Dominique is currently working towards an diploma in integrative counselling.
