Dr Caroline Coffey
Dr Caroline Coffey is an experienced and accredited Clinical Psychologist and couples therapist. She has been qualified and practicing since 2006 when she completed a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She has gone on to complete Post Graduate qualifications in several psychological approaches including training as a couples’ therapist. She is skilled at working with clients to explore a range of difficulties within a safe, free and non-judgemental space.
Caroline is experienced in using a number of psychological models including cognitive behaviour therapy, narrative and systemic approaches, compassion focused therapy and cognitive analytical therapy which are all evidence based practices for several difficulties. She can use such models in a pure form or in an integrative manner depending on the needs of the client. Caroline works with adults and couples.
Caroline is skilled at working with experiences of low mood, depression, stress, anxiety, trauma, loss, adjustment to difficult life events or illness and many other issues. She has a specialist interest in aspects of sexual health and identity, health anxiety and relationship difficulties. Caroline can offer short or longer term therapy options and appreciates that making the decision to meet and talk with a therapist can be challenging and so is happy to organise an initial telephone discussion if there are concerns or questions.
