Dr Sharen Hayre adopts a collaborative and warm approach when working with people and develops an individualised, tailor-made approach to understanding their difficulties. She has training in a number of specialist psychological models including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), systemic and narrative approaches, solution-focused therapy, and compassion focused therapy. This enables her to work flexibly, ensuring the therapy matches a person’s specific situation and preferences.

Since completing her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of East London in 2009 Dr Hayre has worked psychotherapeutically with adults of all ages and from diverse cultural backgrounds. She has experience of working with a range of emotional difficulties and problems, including low mood and depression, worry and stress, anxiety and panic, trauma including post traumatic reactions, loss and bereavement, and relational and interpersonal concerns. Dr Hayre also has expertise in working with people living with long-term health conditions and helping individuals and couples to manage the complexities of negotiating physical health well-being and psychological health.

Dr Hayre is a qualified clinical psychologist with over 14 years experience working in the NHS. She is registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) and is a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS). In addition to her private practice, she is employed as a Highly Specialist Clinical Psychologist by an East London NHS organisation. She offers private psychotherapy for individuals and couples as well as consultancy to organisations.

Dr Hayre works in private practice at The Awareness Centre in Tooting.
