Elisabeth Bayemi
Each counsellor has their own way of working – influenced not only by their theoretic training but also by their individual personality. Elisabeth’s approach is integrative, which aims to support each client’s individual needs through a combination of the main theoretic approaches in counselling: exploring what’s outside the client’s awareness, including their formative experiences, to better understand their behaviours and impulses (psychodynamic) and a person-centred approach (humanistic).
Elisabeth has a background in Information Technology, a fast paced world where she helps people to work towards solutions that enable them to feel happier and more content with their hardware. As a result she is familiar with anxiety, depression and stress. Elisabeth likes to enable clients to break free from the situations and potentially self-defeating ways of thinking and behaving that could be restricting their ability to feel satisfied and more fulfilled in their lives and in their relationships.
Elisabeth is a French native integrative counsellor, a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). She agrees to a code of ethics for good practice and is currently studying a Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. She is also listed on the BACP Register of Students Counsellors and Psychotherapists. She works within The Awareness Centre NHS Counselling Service in Lambeth.
