Eloisa Enfield values every person as a unique individual with their own way of understanding and experiencing the world. She brings warmth and compassion to the therapy relationship to create a supportive space for clients to feel heard and understood, and to process and explore difficult feelings and life events. She works using a person-centred approach which is based on working collaboratively with clients so they are able to access their inner resources to bring about meaningful change and growth. Eloisa acknowledges how daunting it can be to talk to a stranger and the value of creating a safe space where clients can feel empowered and comfortable to go at their own pace.
Alongside her previous clinical experience within NHS and private mental health services as an assistant practitioner, she has contributed to service development and research. Eloisa is knowledgeable about the current healthcare landscape and draws on this previous experience in her practice. She has worked with a range of issues such as eating disorders, depression and anxiety, self-esteem. Her strong interest in the relationship between the mind and body informs the holistic way she approaches clients’ difficulties. She has recently completed a Dance and Movement Psychotherapy Foundation course which has further developed this area of curiosity.
Eloisa is working towards her Counselling Psychology doctorate and also works as a tutor part-time. She also has a Level 4 Certificate in Counselling Approaches and regularly attends talks and conferences through the British Psychological Society to keep up-to-date with current research within the field.
