Esra Yaman provides a warm and empathic space where her clients can feel safe to be themselves. Esra stays with her clients and supports them through their journeys. She has an integrative approach, and her client-centred approach places the clients and their needs above all. Ezra believes that every individual has a tendency and capability to fulfil their potential. However, many experiences in life can affect people’s self-esteem,thought process, feelings, decision making, and interrupt the individual’s growing,thriving, becoming their real selves and fulfilling their potentials.
Esra promotes healing and aims at facilitating wholeness for her clients. She believes that every individual is unique, and the client is the expert on his/her own life experiences and difficulties. Everyone has a potential for resilience, self-healing and growth. Therefore, providing an environment where the client experiences empathy, genuineness, acceptance, understanding,unconditional positive regard is leading towards self-acceptance and healing.
Esra has a degree in Journalism and CommunicationScience. After working for 12 years in Digital Media, in London, her personal interests and experiences led her to study and practice Counselling. Esra has a particular interest in attachment, attachment injury, abuse, childhood abuse,trauma, PTSD, domestic violence, self-esteem issues, depression, anxiety and their physical, psychological, behavioural and neurological effects on the individual.
Esra is a trainee integrative counsellor, currently working towards a diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. She is a student member of the BACP and works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service,seeing clients at a GP surgery in Lambeth. As a bilingual person, Esra offers counselling sessions in Turkish and English.
