Eva Sylianou is an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor working with children and young adults (under 25) as a consultant and in private practice. She has an MA in Art Psychotherapy and is accredited by the HCPC. She is a Registered Member of BACP and BAAT.
Eva offers a safe, non-judgemental space where a child or young person can express their thoughts and feelings, helping them to manage and contain their difficulties and empower them to make sense of and understand their struggles. Placing an individual’s needs first, Eva tailors her approach to suit each client using a mixture of talking, art and dyadic therapy to promote positive, lasting change.
Eva has worked with children, adolescents and adults living with anxiety, depression, complex mental health difficulties, disability, illness and adverse life experiences. She has experience working in a variety of settings including schools, the NHS, women’s centres. She recently worked at a domestic/ sexual violence charity with young people with complex trauma and suffering with attachment disruption, abuse and family separation.
Eva has experience working with children and young people struggling with their identity or sexuality. She also offer dyadic therapy, which involves working with a parent/caregiver and child together and focuses on their relationship.
