Farhad Robinson adopts a Person-Centred approach, providing his clients with the empathy and understanding that they need to be able to trust and believe in the counselling process. Using this client-led approach, Farhad works together with his clients in order to establish an emotionally safe space, in which they can express themselves openly – without fear of judgement or rejection. Farhad was drawn to Person Centred Therapy because it seeks to empower clients by recognising the validity of their emotions, embracing their uniqueness, and by placing them in control of their own therapeutic journey. Farhad also draws from several other modalities, including Transactional Analysis, CBT, and Psychoanalysis.
Before turning to counselling, Farhad lived in the United States, where he enjoyed a successful career in Design and Digital Media. This experience helped him to understand the universal nature of people’s need to be seen and heard as individuals and recognised for the uniqueness of their individual circumstances. Upon returning to the UK, Farhad took the opportunity to reconsider his career path. Driven by the desire to help people, Farhad has since focused on his education, achieving qualifications in NLP and Hypnotherapy.
Today, Farhad is a trainee counsellor, and he is currently working towards a CPCAB certified Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. He is a member of the British Associationfor Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Farhad works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Counselling Service in Lambeth.
