Fatoumata Kamagate uses integrative counselling to work in a warm and non-judgemental relationship where clients can freely express and explore their thoughts and feelings. She believes that therapy can help with many difficult life problems. By providing an empathic and supportive relationship, clients can develop an awareness which could enable them to understand and work through what is really meaningful for them in life; from there, they hopefully should grow and live their life to their full potential. Fatoumata believes that every client is different, and she therefore uses different approaches to work with them depending on what they are going through. She might use person centred therapy to help clients use their own capacities and desires to personally grow and change. She might also use bereavement therapy to help clients identify their bereavement issues and also to learn to cope with the stress related to the loss. Each experience is unique; therefore, her way of working will depend on the client’s needs.
