Giada Monachino works to provide a warm, relaxed, supportive, and non-judgemental space, where clients can safely explore themselves and process any concerns they may have. She has a Person-Centred approach, which means she works with clients at their own pace and in a non-directive manner; encourages each individual to draw on their unique inner abilities to find better ways to manage their thoughts and emotions, build confidence, and develop more conducive coping strategies.
Giada has a background in both the private and third sector, where she works with a rich multi-cultural number of individuals. She has experience in International broadcast media, where she gained a deep understanding of the many stress factors a fast paced and demanding environment can create. Giada has also been volunteering for a number of years in a youth empowerment project, working with 16-25 years old facing a variety of personal difficulties, where she supports young adults dealing with emotional and behavioural patterns, break down long-standing barriers, and reach their full potential.
Giada is a trainee counsellor, currently working towards a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling. She also has a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Coaching Psychology, a Certificate of Competence in Occupational Testing, and an NLP Practitioner qualification. She is registered with both the BACP and BPS (MBPsS/RQTU). Giada works for The Awareness Centre in the NHS Lambeth service, where she sees clients for counselling at a GP surgery in Clapham. She can offer sessions in both English and Italian.
