Gina Phillips is a BACP accredited counsellor with an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and a Post-Graduate Certificate in CBT. As an integrative counsellor, Gina’s approach incorporates humanistic, person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behaviour modalities, which are tailored to a client’s individual needs. She has a broad range of clinical experience working within the NHS, London Authorities and Private Practice and offers short term and long term, one to one counselling.
Gina believes the most important aspect of counselling is a strong therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client. She aims to provide a warm, safe, supportive, non-judgemental space, which allows clients to challenge established ways of thinking and being. Working collaboratively, Gina aims to help clients evaluate their needs to gain a deeper understanding of themselves, enabling them to make empowered choices.
From her previous experience in the world of media and the creative industries, Gina understands the pressures on the individual in the workplace and home, and the impact it can have. This informs her practice which includes working with a wide variety of mental health difficulties including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, addiction, relationship and workplace issues and bereavement.
Gina works in private practice at The Awareness Centre in Clapham.
