Graham Daly provides an understanding, safe and supportive space. He works with the individual and focusses on their needs, believing in someone’s inner capabilities to live a more fulfilling life. Using mindfulness based practice, he helps people to tune into what their body is telling them – call it the implicit or subconscious, in an effort to better understand and help them to deal with a range of common life problems. Focusing on the needs of the person means he has to be flexible and adaptable and sessions centre on exploring and bringing awareness to the client unique and individual life.
With almost 30 years of working in a number of diverse roles and being responsible for managing many people, he has a wealth of experience of workplace issues, stress management and helping individuals to move through important transitions in their life. He is a member of the International Stress Management Association and also regularly mentors and coaches. He can appreciate the pressures placed on someone, whether it be from external sources such as work, as well as the internal pressures people can have on themselves. He works with clients in a short-term and dynamic way to improve their relationship with stress, anxiety, self-motivation and managing thoughts and emotions which impact on behaviours.
Graham is currently a trainee counsellor working towards a qualification in Therapeutic Counselling and applies an approach which brings together or integrates a number of established therapies, such as person centred, attachment, cognitive behaviour and mindfulness. He is registered with the BACP and works within The Awareness Centre’s Low Cost Counselling Service in Tooting.
