Through the therapeutic process Herjoyt Ubhi will enable and empower you to learn and develop useful life skills using CBT.  These skills will help you to achieve your therapeutic goals by increasing understanding, raising your awareness and managing unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaving. Herj offers an assessment of your situation for a collaborative understanding and foundation to the treatment.  The most important element of therapy is building rapport and mutual understanding of the challenges and agreeing a joint therapy plan to move forward. Where appropriate she will use other therapy modalities.

Herj has worked in mental health services for 12 years both within the NHS and private sector. Previously she worked with young people and adults with special needs and Asperger’s Syndrome therefore is able to adapt therapy appropriately. Herj has worked as Co-Deputy Lead to implement a staff engagement strategy across an NHS trust and her current clientele consists of corporate clients including lawyers, accountants, directors and other professionals helping them to manage life and work stress.

Herj is a BABCP accredited CBT therapist and also trained at level 3 EMDR, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and level 1 Mindfulness. Her other qualifications include an MSc in Occupational Psychology and BSc in Psychology. Herj is a member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM).
