Ingried Upingasana is passionate about offering clients who are feeling distressed by personal difficult life events, as well as those going through emotional and psychological difficulties, the therapeutic time and space they need to talk through hurtful emotions. She is equipped to offer patients the right tools to reflect on their hurtful experiences and to navigate their thoughts and feelings towards positive changes.
Ingried has a good understanding of the BACP Ethical Framework and Professional Conduct, hence confidentiality, empathy and support is at the centre of her service.
Attributing to her experience in NHS in both primary and secondary healthcare setting, Ingried has advanced experience working with patients from a diverse background with diverse physical, mental and emotional challenges. Her role involves one to one contact with patients who in some cases are classified as vulnerable including children/young adults.
At the GP surgery, one of her key focuses is picking up early signs of mental health risk factors. Areas of interest include working with people living with HIV (both infected or affected), trauma, depression, illness, stress, anxiety, Domestic Violence and abuse and people with criminal convictions and Refugees.
Ingried is an integrative counsellor who sees patients at a GP surgery in Wandsworth. She is working towards BSc Counselling and Coaching and is currently a member of BACP.
In her training, Ingried has covered most counselling modalities including NLP on the coaching aspect. She is keen and willing to embrace new responsibilities and challenges and share those she already possesses with patients and her team.
