Jaimy Halliwell-Owen provides a safe, non-judgemental space where clients can talk openly about any problems or difficulties they are facing in life. No matter how big or small the issue appears to be, she will listen and provide an empathetic ear to those who need space to express difficult thoughts and feelings. By expressing what is troubling you, Jaimy will help to identify the key patterns and thought processes which may be causing you distress.
Jaimy has an integrative relational approach, which means she puts the relationship at the heart of how she works and then draws on several different techniques, according to what her client’s need. Over a period of time spent together, she can help you to understand the root cause of the behaviour and symptoms which are troubling you and enable you to find the necessary coping strategies to deal with these.
Jaimy has a background in marketing and has worked for large corporate organisations, local government and charities. She has experience of work-place issues, the stress corporate life can bring, anxiety, depression, feelings of isolation, disconnection and hopelessness. She has experience of dealing with family troubles such as divorce, moving countries, relationship break-down, communication barriers and drug and alcohol use.
Jaimy is an integrative psychotherapist and is a registered UKCP member. Prior to her current training she has completed a counselling skills course and been a listening volunteer with Samaritans. She now works within The Awareness Centre’s low cost counselling service in Clapham. Jaimy is currently working towards a masters in psychotherapy and UKCP accreditation.
