Jessica Elliott offers a safe, empathetic space where clients are welcomed to explore their thoughts and feelings without the fear of judgement. She has an integrative approach to counselling meaning she can draw on different theories such as humanistic, psychodynamic and CBT to tailor the therapy to the individual’s needs. Jessica is aware of how unique every person is and believes their therapy needs to reflect this. She understands how much bravery it takes to open up to another person, especially when talking about painful experiences, so works hard to build a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship so that her clients get the most out of their therapy.
Prior to training to become a counsellor Jessica worked in the city with a fast-paced, high-pressure job so understands the effect everyday stress can have on a person’s mental well-being. She understands the pressure put on people to strive for perfection, ignore their anxieties and to carry on with the demands of modern day life. Jessica aims to help clients identify healthy and effective techniques to manage their emotions as well as encourage personal growth and overall life satisfaction. She has experience working with a number of different issues including; stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem and bullying.
Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Southampton and a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theory from Kingston College.
