Jill Bryant’s approach is person-centred and integrative. She is trained in several different types of therapeutic approach. Jill fosters a confidential, non-judgemental, and empathetic space that allows clients to explore and understand themselves at their own pace. Her integrative training allows her to be flexible and adaptable with her approach as she feels that therapy is not a one size fits all model.

Most of Jill’s experience with helping others has been as a volunteer. She has worked in schools to help students in secondary school on a one-to-one basis to enable them to achieve their potential. She also worked with families and individuals to help in an advocacy role offering support, advice, and encouragement.

Jill is an integrative counsellor and is registered with the BACP. She works within the Awareness Centre’s Low Cost counselling service in Clapham. Jill is currently working towards her Diploma in Counselling. She works from a person-centred approach and integrates other forms of therapy to encourage clients to understand more about themselves, their thoughts and behaviour patterns. Jill has spent the past 30 years in the caring profession and helped to support people through a variety of battles.

testimonial

Due to my life circumstances I knew I would only be able to have a very short course of therapy – I am so glad I was matched with Jill; I gained an outsized amount of new insight in our sessions. I found Jill to be very warm in her style and I felt comfortable opening up to her from the outset – she was an incredibly supportive listener as I wept through her box of tissues in our first session! I also particularly appreciated that in our sessions she went beyond just listening to an extent that not all therapists I have seen in the past have done – Jill asked specific follow-up questions to get me to explore and drill down into deeper layers of self-awareness – and she offered challenge, and, when appropriate, her own wise opinion, which I found really beneficial. I finished the sessions with a feeling of having shored up my resilience for approaching life-changes, and with some new behavioral / mindset interventions to put into practice to enhance my experience of day-to-day life. I would definitely recommend Jill as a therapist.
