Jo Ann Burns
Jo Ann Burns is an experienced Integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, who has copious experience working with varying issues within mental health. Jo Ann has a postgraduate diploma in humanistic integrative counselling after qualifying in 2005. She is a registered member of the British Association of counselling and psychotherapy. (BACP). Jo Ann’s background has been involved with charity work, with young and vulnerable families, children and adults, whereby she volunteered as a counsellor.
Although Jo Ann works integratively, she is also a CBT counsellor, so is experienced in short-term counselling as well as longer term counselling. Jo Ann focuses on you as her client and will support you in a supportive, but at times challenging therapy space that may enable you to develop your self-awareness and self understanding. Jo Ann has over 13 years’ experience with adult clients, teenagers, and at times couples therapy. By working integratively Jo Ann draws from varied theoretical knowledge, and is experienced with bereavement and co-dependency. This may help you to understand your painful journey with the grieving process. Jo Ann is also experienced in the psychodynamic ways of unconscious processes and transferences, therefore enabling a good self understanding of where your process may be.
