Jonathon Gadenne offers a confidential, non-judgmental, safe space for clients to explore any difficult or uncomfortable problems that they may be experiencing in life. He provides an empathic, supportive and trusting environment where clients can get in touch with their feelings. Jonathon hopes to offer different perspectives, giving the client a secure place to talk openly. Facilitating a better understanding of the clients inner world, and the relationship dynamics they experience, Jonathon hopes to help to build resilience and promote emotional well-being. He tailors his therapy to the individual needs of his clients, challenging unsuccessful patterns of behaviour, automated responses and unconscious destructive cycles, to ensure that they can meet their own goals and feel empowered to make new fulfilling choices about their life

Jonathon comes from a long career in the finance and aviation industries. Having worked in high pressure occupations he understands how stressful life can sometimes be.  He has seen the negative impact that this can have on a client’s mental and physical health so wants to work with clients to help them identify healthy ways of managing negative emotions such as anxiety and depression. In addition Jonathon has experience working with abuse, gender identity, low self-esteem and an understanding of relationships and sexualities and LGBT issues.

Jonathon trains at the Metanoia Institute and is an integrative humanistic counsellor drawing on person-centred counselling, transactional analysis and Gestalt counselling. He is a member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and adheres to their Code of Ethics.
