Jordan Fletcher-Dale provides an empathic, supportive and safe space where clients can be seen and heard as they truly are, without fear of judgement. While counselling helps clients process difficult or painful thoughts and feelings, Jordan believes that therapy can also support clients’ empowerment. Jordan works with his clients to bring to light and draw upon their inner resources, to live a more complete life. He adopts an integrative approach, which means that he is able to draw on tools from various theories, according to his clients’ needs. Jordan may use relational therapy to help identify patterns in client thoughts and behaviours, psychodynamic theory to help his clients understand their past and how this may have affected their present, and attachment theory to help them explore and understand their relationships. His approach is tailored to the individual client.
Jordan has a background in high pressure media environments and therefore understands the difficulties with lack of motivation and drive with a strenuous workload. He has experience with addiction and personality disorders and acknowledges that good coping strategies are paramount. Jordan seeks to empower his clients, with the understanding that each person has their own answers, and his role is to provide support in identifying them. He also has an interest in anxiety, anger and relationships.
Jordan is a trainee integrative counsellor and is a member of the BACP. He works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Lambeth and is currently working towards a Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling.
