Juliana Neves provides a safe, supportive space where clients can feel seen and heard for who they truly are with empathic understanding and genuine care. She works on building acceptance and self-confidence and believes that everyone has the capacity to live a meaningful life. Juliana combines Person-Centred, Gestalt and CBT approaches to help support clients build a better sense of self-awareness and insights, which facilitate change by helping her clients to discover new ways to their internal world.

Juliana chose an integrative approach which allows her to be flexible with what concepts she works with, depending on what her client’s needs are. She may also use a psychodynamic approach in order to understand her client’s past experiences, and techniques to change thought patterns which facilitate her clients to become aware of their autonomy. Juliana will aim to achieve a trusting therapeutic relationship where the client can grow and explore their thoughts, experiences, feelings and body sensations.

Juliana regularly attends courses and workshops on a wide range of subjects including trauma, addiction, bereavement, and mental illness. She believes that extending her knowledge of counselling and ensuring she is aware of new developments is essential to the effectiveness of her practice. Juliana is working towards an Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling. She is a member of BPS and BACP and currently on placement with The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Wandsworth.
