Kate Moore’s work stems from a Person Centred background. She values the importance of uniqueness within clients. She feels that individuals have all the tools they need for a fulfilling life within themselves and counselling or psychotherapy can bring those tools to light. Therapy is a safe space where you and Kate can explore your life free from judgement and pressure. She will endeavour to enter your world and see what it’s like to live your life. Therapy is an equal partnership according to Kate. She is not an expert on you. She will work with you in unfolding what has brought you to therapy. Kate will aim to create a strong bond with you to help self-discovery at your own pace.
Originally from a small town in the Republic of Ireland, Kate understands what it can mean to make a big transition in life. She has worked within psychiatric hospitals mainly involved with eating disorders. Also having grown up around the emergence of social media and technology, Kate can relate to the power it can hold over people and how it can integrate into our daily lives. She works alongside her clients to aid in creating the life the client wishes to live.
Kate is an integrative relational humanistic trainee counsellor and psychotherapist. She operates within The Awareness Centre’s low-cost counselling service in Clapham, working on a short and long term basis with clients. Kate is currently working towards a Masters in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy. She is also a member of the BACP.
