Katharina Wolf believes that no one is an island. The human need to connect, to be seen, and to be truly heard are at the centre of her work. With an integrative background and an instinctive approach, she is able to meet clients in whichever way is most beneficial for them. She can use aPerson-Centred approach to help clients to become the best version of themselves, or she might draw from Psychodynamic teaching to accompany clients on their journey into the past to identify historical issues that are affecting their lives in the present.
To say it with Friedrich Nietzsche: ‘Become who you are.’ Katharina will help you towards understanding and accepting yourself. Some emotions might make us feel uncomfortable, but they too need to be honoured. Katharina works towards empowering and supporting clients to live a self-determined life.
With a background in Public Relations, Katharina understands the importance of relationships and the impact they can have on a client’s life. She understands that feelings of isolation, loss of self-worth and identity need to be explored in a wider context to come to a place of acknowledgement, acceptance, and eventually, healing. She supports clients to express their needs in a safe, non-judgemental space and helps them find their voice. Katharina has a special interest in family and relationships, sexuality and trauma.
Katharina is working towards her Diploma in Integrative Counselling and is a registered student member of the BACP. She works within the low-cost counselling service at The Awareness Centre in Clapham.
Katharina offers therapy in both English and German.
