Kelly has a wide range of experience supervising practitioners both individually and in a group employing an integrative approach. Her overall belief is to support the practitioner by providing a regular space for the supervisee to reflect on the content and process of their work and develop an understanding of their skills and development needs.
She currently supervises placements therapists at The Awareness Centre supporting them with open-ended and NHS brief counselling. She also provides private supervision. Kelly recognises the importance of a consistent and vibrant supervision relationship and its potential to contribute to effective, safe practice, successful outcomes and professional development. Although clinical supervision is primarily about the professional self, Kelly still works in the knowledge that we are relational beings: the connections we have and the feedback we get can help us find the meaning of our experience. This alone can be very helpful to a fellow professional in enriching the work they do.
Kelly is also fluent in Spanish and Turkish and offers both psychotherapy and supervision in these languages.
