LaToya Henry is an integrative therapist working in private practice in South East London. LaToya mainly draws upon humanistic, CBT and psychodynamic theoretical approaches to meet clients’ individual needs. In addition, at times she incorporates creative imagery work within sessions to help clients feel more comfortable in expressing their inner thoughts and feelings as she recognises that finding ‘the words’ is not always easy. Above all, she believes that her relationship with clients is the most important aspect of therapy and it is her role to walk alongside you on your journey of discovery.
LaToya has previously worked in various education settings. This has led to her regularly providing counselling sessions within private practice with educators and support staff who are experiencing relationship issues, depression, anxiety and burnout. In addition, she conducts monthly reflective practice sessions with school based staff, which allows colleagues to have a dedicated space whereby they can reflect on work-related and personal issues.
LaToya provides clients with an initial one-on-one assessment appointment to get an understanding of what has brought them to therapy. Alongside traditional face to face counselling sessions, she also conducts weekly online therapy sessions.
LaToya has obtained an Advanced diploma in humanistic counselling; PG Cert in Education: Culture, Language and Identity, and is a Domestic Abuse Recovering Together (DART) facilitator.
