Life can sometimes make us feel overwhelmed and unsettled, leading us to seek someone who can listen and help to make sense of what’s going on. With an understanding that any one of us can find ourselves struggling through life, Leila Naruo provides a safe, open, and supportive space for you to explore the difficulties you may be facing. Though it might seem intimidating to start counselling, Leila will work to make sure that you are in a comfortable and non-judgemental environment so you can make the most of this time to truly focus on yourself.
Leila works with an integrative approach, meaning she will draw on different ways of working to suit each person and situation. Above all, Leila places an importance on who you really are, and how she can support you to find the strength to get through these difficult times while staying true to yourself. With experience in anxiety and depression, Leila can support you through low and stressful times using mindfulness techniques to help manage any thoughts and feelings that you might be struggling with.
Her background in the performing arts has given her the skills to empathise with people’s situations and intentions; understanding where you have been, seeing where you are now, and exploring where you would like to be. Leila may use realistic goal setting to ensure that you are able to keep looking and moving forward, even at times when this might not seem doable.
Leila is registered with the NCP and is working with The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service in Sutton. She is currently working towards a diploma in Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy.
