Liliana Scott provides approachable, empathic and insightful counselling. As an integrative therapist she can draw on a wide range of psychotherapeutic approaches in order to tailor the therapy she offers to her clients according to their needs. She is interested in understanding how life experiences can impact the client’s behaviour, thoughts, feelings, decision making and spiritual life and the implications of the client’s family system, current context, culture, race and the environment in their lives. All of her work is rooted in her firm belief that all people have inherent worth and deserve to be loved. She also believes that the counsellor/client relationship is a creative partnership where both work together to find a balance between guiding and facilitating self-discovery. For Liliana counselling is a journey that is unique to every person. She seeks to provide not only a space for helping her clients to relieve distressing symptoms safely, but also to enable them to promote personal growth and a more balanced life.
Prior to becoming a counsellor, Liliana trained as a Speech and Language Therapist and worked in a stroke and trauma patient hospital with adults and children. She has therapeutic experience in other fields including educational projects for the deaf community, church projects against domestic violence, charity work for epilepsy and medical administration including the NHS. She has also worked closely with the Latin American community in London. She continues to volunteer as a therapist practitioner with ANXIETY UK.
