Lisa Mainz Goldsmith
Lisa offers a non-judgmental space where she offers support to work through what it is that is troubling you. Lisa has experience in working with people from diverse backgrounds around a wide array of issues. She offers therapy agreements from short-term which consists of between 6-12 sessions and long-term which allows more space and time for issues to unfold and work on in greater depth. Lisa has specialised in bereavement and illness however she has vast experience in working with trauma, stress, communication issues, self esteem, relationship issues, shame, anger and depression.
Lisa was born in South Africa and spent many years working in the USA as well as the UK. She thus has a wider view of different cultures and well as issues that affect one when we experience change. Lisa started off her career as an Oncology Nurse and went onto study Bereavement Counselling in the USA. She studied with The Tavistock Center as well as Metanonia Institute in the UK. Her therapy is based in Person Centred as well as Gestalt Therapy.
Lisa is a psychotherapist who works with The Awareness Centre’s NHS counselling service at a GP surgery in Lambeth and runs a private practise in Fulham. She is a registered Member of the BACP and a individual member of the UKCP. Lisa works within the strict code of ethics of these organisations. She is currently completing a MSC in Gestalt Psychotherapy.
