Liza works with clients to explore their experience in the world in which they live. She provides an empathetic and non-judgemental space to help clients live more authentically by helping them embrace their individuality and take ownership of their lives. She works within the Existential framework which is a philosophical approach to therapy. Her approach is to explore a client’s belief’s, values, and choices within the boundaries that may surround an individual that cause anxiety or depression. The therapy’s focus is to help a client by exploring their experience and relating it to the experience of all humankind. As it is a philosophical approach, it takes into account an individual’s culture, ethnic and religious beliefs as well as issues around self. She works with clients to help them realise that they are not defined by their history and not destined to have a certain future. She focuses on personal responsibility for making decisions and investigates how past experiences present themselves in a client’s view of themselves in the world. She has had experience in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, life transitions and isolation.

Liza has travelled the world extensively and has lived in various countries. She is aware of cultural differences and is compassionate to experiences in living outside a different culture. Her work background includes: Marketing, HR and has a post-graduate degree in drama. She understands the various aspects of work environment dynamics.

Liza is a DProf student in Existential Psychotherapy. She is registered with UCPA which is part of UKCP accreditation and works within The Awareness Centre’s NHS Wandsworth Counselling Service.
