Lubna is an integrative counsellor, which means she is able to tailor her counselling approach depending on what the client’s needs are. Lubna considers counselling as an opportunity to make a real difference to someone’s life by helping them to focus on their goals in a positive way, which is motivating and forward-looking. She provides a safe, non-judgmental and empathic space for clients to explore their feelings, emotions and attachment styles. Such explorations help clients to create a deeper level of self-awareness and work on their feelings and emotions, which will help them to understand what is going on for them and why, so that they can access their inner resources such as strength, courage and resilience.
Lubna has experience in working with trauma, abuse and childhood attachment issues. She has worked with asylum seekers, refugees and individuals with different cultural backgrounds. Her own experience of difference and diversity makes her sensitive to the emotional needs of religious, cultural and racial minorities. She truly believes that regardless of our differences, we all deserve a dignified place to be heard and understood and that is part of her role as a counsellor.
Lubna is an integrative counsellor and has a degree in Social Work. Lubna is registered with BACP and is currently working towards her Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling.
